Do I sound like a student whose potential would be seen and accepted into a college with academic probation?
Ok, so i've slacked almost all through high school (which I will forever regret) and my average High School GPA was a 1.86 before my senior year. My first semester of my senior year was worse than ever! I received a 1.06 GPA the first quarter and a .86 GPA the second. At the very end of the second semester I had an epiphany and realized how foolish it had been for me to screw off all through High School. I received 3.35 GPA for the third quarter and for my fourth quarter which is almost over I will have around a 3.75 GPA. After my senior year is my accumulative High School GPA will be about a 1.93 ( still pretty bad). I didn't do too bad on my ACT and got a 23 by the way. My guidance counselor said she would write a letter of recommendation to Bowling Green State University (which I would really like to get into) telling them how much I have matured and changed over my senior year and how my new found maturity will follow me into college. So does it sound like BGSU would see my potential and take a chance on a student like me and give me something like academic probation or not? (I know there's no way for anybody to to know the answer to this but I just wanted an opinion other than mine and my guidance counselor). THANKS!
