Good Wireless Router For Heavy Usage?

Hey, I just had my comcast guy come over and give me a new modem and I told him at times the internet is very slow or I may even get disconected. He replied that our signal was great from the modem and that my router is actually older and probably is having trouble keeping up with the 3 laptops in the house Plus Xbox 360..( Not much of an arguement there) He said my best bet would to go out spend the extra money and get a good gaming router and nobody should experience problems like 1 red bar while playing xbox live. So My question to you folks is what should I look for in this router or do you have any router suggestions for me, Thanks!
